DescriptionThis is a 14 mile (22km) circular cycle route passing the Tumuli and Settlement at Gussage Hill, Ackling Dyke on the Roman Road, Knowlton Church and Rings and Wimborne St Giles Church. There are various options to make this a shorter ride. The starting point is Church Farm Campsite, Sixpenny Handley. Park in field behind church. The terrain is a mixture of gravel tracks, grassy tracks and quiet lanes. 20% of the time the route is on road with 80% off road. There are 4 hills on the main route and 2 hills on the short loop. Places to rest or get refreshments include The Drover pub at Gussage All Saints, The Bull pub at Wimborne St Giles or the Roebuck Inn at Sixpenny Handley.
